Today we went to the a family reunion on my Mom's side. We met in Marble Falls and ate lunch on the lake. It was pretty fun but it was very hot! Aiden did pretty well considering he doesn't like to sit in a highchair for very long. Luckily, we sat on the porch that overlooked the lake and he watched the "boots" (boats) drive by. He loved watching the water and all the people in it. It was also pretty special to see family that we haven't seen in about 6 years. Aiden was able to meet with Great Great Uncle and his 2 Great Great Aunts. That is pretty cool to see. We are blessed to have such a tight knit family that enjoys spending time together. Oh, and to top it all off, my Grandma Kehrer flew down from Missouri to visit for 10 days! So, I am a pretty happy camper at this point!

Mrs. Macs Carnival

Aiden's school had their annual carnival today. There was not a lot for Aiden to do but he stayed busy with the train and the petting zoo. It was so exciting to hear him squeal has he held the baby farm animals. He loved the baby "billies" aka billy goats. He also was infatuated with the "quack quacks". The carnival was right during his nap time so needless to say he crashed on the way home. Here are the pictures from our day.

Aiden loves peanut butter and jelly. On any given day he will devour two sandwiches in a matter of minutes. So, here are a few pictures of him eating his dinner! Oh yes, don't mind his hair. They were having wacky hair day at school. Aiden's hair is normally spiked up but it has gotten so long that he looks like a little Who from Dr. Suess! :)

Easter Egg Hunt #2

My Mom is the social chair for their neighborhood association. So, she planned this huge Easter Egg hunt for this morning. Well, it was 65 degrees and windy but that didn't keep everyone from showing up. To top it all off, Aiden came home from school yesterday with a high fever. He was up on and off all night coughing and just being uncomfortable. So, we still took him to the hunt but he was not feeling up to par. The pictures are pretty funny because he was trying to have funny and smile but his eyes were watering, his nose was running and he wanted to go home. He did perk up when the Easter bunny, aka my Mother, showed up. My mom peeked out from the costume and showed Aiden that it was her and he squealed and said "Yeah Nana"! Aiden had his Easter party at his school, Mrs. Macs Shining Stars. I did not go because Aiden is not at the age that he understands when Mom shows up at school and then leaves again without taking him. So, I sent my camera which was the next best thing. Here are some pictures from his hunt and his lunch. Now don't be alarmed by the chair that he is sitting in. It looks like he is tied to it. When the kids at Mrs. Macs move from the infant room to the toddler room, they move out of high chairs and into big kid chairs. So, they have these foam "seat belts" that train the kids to stay seated while eating. I just didn't want you to think Aiden was being tied down and forced to eat. Actually, he would probably enjoy that... he loves to eat!!!

We took Aiden to see the Easter Bunny and I am proud to say that he did very well! He did not bat an eye, even though the 4 year old in front of us was screaming and refusing to go near the bunny. Aiden gets to attend 3 egg hunts this year. His class at school is having a Easter luncheon and a visit from the Easter Bunny too! Here is our little egg- hunting man!

This weekend we went to Houston for Rochelle Galabeas' wedding. We were nervous about how Aiden would do at the wedding and we were pleasantly surprised. He loved the music and Rochelle's veil! We were very proud of him. The wedding was beautiful and we are very excited for the new married couple! Here are some pictures from the day. The last one is a picture of Rochelle's bridal portrait. Mr. Aiden received an award at his school this week. He received the "Courtesy King" award! Evidently, he shares really well and greets each one of his friends with a pat on the belly. We are very proud of our little king. Too bad he leaves his crown at school... :)

AND.... we have very exciting news!!!! I found out I am going to be an AUNT again!!! My brother, David and his wife Sarah are pregnant!!! YAHOO! We could not be any happier for them. We are not sure but we think the due date will be at the end of November. Aiden can't wait to be a big cousin! Our prayer now is that God will take "Baby Kehrer" in His hands and help it grow and form the way it should. I will keep you posted on the progress of my new niece or nephew.

Yes, it is true! Aiden is officially walking and was transferred to the "big boy room" at school. He is doing very well. He really struggles with allergies and teething but other than that he is happy. His new trick is when you ask him, "Aiden, are you a big boy?" He promptly answers, "Uh Huh!" It is too funny!

I can't believe it! Aiden is one year old! I know it sounds cliché but it does really feel like yesterday that God brought this amazing little guy into our lives. Aiden has been sick with a stomach virus since Friday so coincidentally he stayed home with me on his birthday. True, he did not feel good, but we still had fun. He wore his Birthday Boy shirt and I snapped a bunch of pictures. His birthday party is Saturday so we will have the classic "cake pictures" and a ton of others later. Well, I can't believe that my baby will be 1 year old on the 28th. My how time flies. He is such a joy and an exciting part of our lives. We have come to the conclusion that the Lord has given us a very strong willed little boy but he is also such a lover. We seek His face daily for guidance and direction. We stand amazed at Little Aiden and wake up with excitement each day to see what blessings come our way. Here are some of our "Little Blessings" new achievements:

1. Aiden says, "Da Da", "Dog" and "Dat?" for What is that?

2. Aiden has started to walk really well with his walker and is trying to take a few steps. He has gotten really good at toddling around the coffee table.

3. Aiden's kisses are so sweet... however, there is quite a bit of spit left for you to keep!

4. Aiden knows how to give you a high five and a low five thanks to his Daddy.

5. Everytime Aiden is given something that we are eating he loves to make the "MMMMM! " sound.

We spent Christmas at home this year. It is a tradition for us to open gifts from each other on Christmas Eve and then open our gift from Santa on Christmas Day. Well, it has been a while. Since the holiday season has hit, the Harrison household has been going nonstop. We celebrated Thanksgiving with Randy's mom and family. I took some really cute pictures of Aiden in his Thanksgiving outfit but unfortunately our computer decided to erase them. I am bummed! So, I have to make up for lost time.

Aiden is doing pretty well these days. He just had tubes put in his ears on Friday and he did really well. We are hoping that this procedure will help with the numerous ear infections and sinus infections that he has. He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything that he is not supposed to. He hears the word "no" quite often and is learning to listen to Mommy and Daddy. God has blessed us with a sweet little boy who knows what he wants and is pretty strong willed. We have our hands full! While he is strong willed, he gives the sweetest kisses and hugs. He is obsessed with the "dog dogs" and loves to look at pictures of himself on the computer. Randy, Aiden and I ran errands today. We were out and about and stopped to eat at Casa Ole. I ordered the chicken fingers so I could share with Aiden. Aiden had his picture taken at school last week. I sent him in his cute little blue polo and khakis in hopes of getting a cute little picture. Well, the picture is cute because it is Aiden but he had been crying right before so his eyes are a little swollen. His teachers sent the proofs home which are blurry themselves and then I took a picture of them to put on the blog. So, they are not real clear but they are his first school pictures. We are proud.

Halloween is not my favorite holiday. However, I am a sucker for any artwork Aiden does at school. Today his teachers sent home his footprint that looks like a ghost and his handprints that look like a spider. I have to say it is too cute!!

Pumpkins and Cheerios

Aiden's two new favorite things this fall are pumpkins and Cheerios. We took him to the pumpkin patch today. He was pretty unsure of all that was going on. I couldn't get him to look at the camera which is odd because he usually poses for me. All he wanted to do was put the pumpkins an gourds in his mouth. Lord only knows where those gourds have been!!! All in all, it was fun.

Aiden has also grown very found of Cheerios. He has been very sick this week with ear infections and a stomach virus so eating was out of the question. The only thing he wanted was Cheerios. Well, today in the car I opened a new box of the tasty cereal and laid it by his car seat. The next thing I knew he had the box in his lap and was reaching in the box, pulling out Cherrios, eating them and then looking in the box to see if there were anymore. It was too cute! My little baby is growing up. He is becoming very independent and knows what he wants. My prayer is that Aiden will grow to have a tender heart and learn to trust the Lord with everything he does.

Gig'em Aggies

It is true... the Texas Aggies are having a "rebuilding year" in football. Nevertheless, we still love our them and root for them every weekend. I haven't taught Aiden to whoop yet but he looks pretty cute in the hat!

WE ARE CRAWLING!!!

PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Out of the blue, this evening, Aiden took off like a bullet and started crawling. It was like he had all this pent up energy and it finally exploded out! Randy and I just watched in amazement. He is also pulling up onto his knees and trying to get on his feet. Lord help us when that happens! Hopefully he will slow down long enough for me to get some pictures.

God has just blessed us more than we deserve. The love we have for Aiden pales in comparison for the love that our heavenly Father has for us. I am so thankful everyday that I have the privilege to love and raise this precious gift from God. What an awesome responsibility!

Not too much has changed around the Harrison household. Aiden is growing up so quickly! Here are some of his new developments:

1. Waving bye-bye: it is a wave fit for a parade!

2. Make "tooting" noises with his tongue: yes, you are covered in spit during this activity!

3. Splashing in the bath tub with Mr. Ducky

4. Attempting to crawl: He gets in the position and gets ready but that is it. He would rather roll to get where he wants to go. He is an expert at rolling!!!

5. Aiden is in a "Mommy stage": Every morning I take him to his school, he clings to me for dear life and cries. It is awful! I cry all the way to work but I think Aiden stops crying when I leave.

6. Eating big boy foods like Cheerios, noodles, pieces of turkey dogs and macaroni.

He is our pride and joy. Enjoy the pics!

A Day at Roundtop

Today we wet to Roundtop, Texas with my parents and sister-in-law, Sarah. It was great fun! Aiden loved being outdoors and rolling around in his stroller with his Daddy and Grampy. We found lots of fun goodies to buy and ate some scrumptious old fashion kettle corn. The bummer of the day came when I told Randy that I needed to go to the bathroom. He pointed off to the right and when I looked, all I saw were these small little yellow boxes. That is when the horror set in... PORT A POTTIES!!! I was mortified! There was no where else to go potty except there along with the rest of Texas. It was awful. Randy told me to close my eyes, hold my breath and go for it. Of course I did just the opposite and was grossed out! Needless to say, I went potty but I was not happy in the least. Aiden was lucky that he wore a diaper! All in all we had a blast!

Nana and Grampy bought Aiden a new swing and bathtub today. We haven't tried the bathtub yet but HE LOVES HIS SWING. He laughed the entire time we were out there. The funny thing about Aiden is when he gets relaxed he makes this moaning noise and makes this really funny face. Well, we had been swinging him and started talking and not paying attention to him and he started this moaning noise. We laughed until we couldn't laugh anymore. Big Boy at Walmart

Today, while Daddy was a the game, Aiden, my mom, and I went to spend money at Walmart. This was his first time to sit in the cart like a big boy and shop with Mommy and Nana. His teething toy and Gerber Puffs kept him busy for two hours while we shopped around. He is such a good kid!

It's been a while...

No pictures this time but I want to catch everyone up with the Harrison family. Last week, I went back to school, at Williams Elementary, so Aiden started Mrs. Mac's in Georgetown. He did so well his first week. He played with his friends, ate his lunch and even took long naps. About Wednesday of last week I noticed him acting really tired. By Friday he was as sick as a dog. He ended up with a stomach virus, ear infection and conjunctivitis in his eyes. Mercy Me!! He stayed home from Friday until Thursday and went today. He did really well today and his antibiotics are really working well. So, I thought we were on out way to normality... not so fast. I went to the doctor today and found out I have strep throat... oh yes, the highly contagious throat disease... that is the one! Gladly enough, Aiden is on antibiotics so he is safe... I can't say as much for Randy. Randy has been Dad of the Year the past two weeks. He has stayed home with Aiden and taken great care of him. Aiden is infatuated with his Daddy and watches his every move. So, the Harrison family is keeping Walgreens and our doctors in business. But, we can officially say that we have Aiden's first sickness behind us. Now, if we could just keep him well.

Tuesday night we went over to my brother and sister in law's house. My brother was home for a few days from his tour and we were excited to visit with him. They have a gorgeous pool in the backyard but I didn't think Aiden would be interested to swim in the baby float. Boy was I wrong! He loved it! I think he liked it because it was quieter than the water park and the water was warmer. He loved swimming with his Daddy. He swam and swam until he finally crashed about 8:30pm which is an hour and a half past his normal bedtime. We had a blast. Thanks Auntie and Uncle Bubby!

I am a little late with these but we had a blast getting Aiden's 6 month pictures taken. He was precious and in a great mood. Of course, we had to get some pictures taken with the LSU putfit that his Grampy bought him. Don't worry Papa, the A&M picture is coming in a few months!

6 months has brought quite a few changes in development. He is sitting up very well, we giggles and laughs all the time, he is eating his fruits and veggies and reaches and grabs everything in sight. We are truly thankful for such an amazing little boy and hope you enjoy his pictures.

It is not uncommon for Aiden to be shirtless at our house due to drool and spit up. Well, he was playing with his toys and I caught this picture. Randy thinks he looks like Ghandi sitting on his pillow! :) Aiden looks very small for his age but he is in the 65% for his height and the 35% for his weight. He is just very slim and trim. So sweet!

Rockin' River

I took Aiden to Rockin' River in Round Rock. It is the coolest water park for younger kids. There are a few slides and things for older kids to do but it is mainly geared towards the younger crowd. Other than his warm bath time, Aiden has not experienced water before. Initially, he was very timid and hid his face in his Auntie's shoulder. Slowly he came around and at the end he was having a good time. Boy, the water and sun wears him out! He conked out before we left. I had fun playing in the water with him and experiencing something new with him. We hung out with my sister-in-law, Sarah, her friend Tara and her little girl Rylee, and my cousin Crystal and her little boy, Payton. It was a fun day!!!

My parents bought Aiden a new Chico highchair from Babies R Us. Aiden is now eating baby food and it was time for him to sit at the table with us. Well, he looks like a little gentleman sitting in that chair and he loves it. Tonight he ate applesauce and green beans. I haven't gotten a messy face picture yet, but in some of the pictures you can see the applesauce on his face. He loves his baby spoon and likes to try to feed himself. What a character!

Aiden is getting so good at sitting up on his own. Yes, he wobbles a bit but he does really well. Each day he seems to get better and better. So, here is a picture of my big boy sitting up all by himself. Also, Aiden spends some time at my Mom's gift shop, Simply Suzi. So, she spreads out a blanket on the floor and lets him roll and play with his toys. However, Heinz the dog, who is the shop dog, thinks the blanket is for him so they share. It is too cute!

So I was folding laundry when I looked out the window and saw a roadrunner on our second floor porch banister. My Dad had left a coffee mug with dog food in it on the porch... don't ask why my Dad had a mug of dog food... that is another story! Anyhow, the roadrunner sat and ate every last bit of food in that coffee mug. I was so amazed because I had never seen a roadrunner up close... except for my Wylie Coyote days :) So, here is a picture of our little friend.

6 months

In one week from tomorrow, Aiden will be 6 months old! I can't believe it. He is rolling all over the place and is sitting up pretty well. As I said before, he would rather stand than sit. We started solid foods and he did really well for about a week. His favorites were squash and green beans. Then all of a sudden, he would not eat the food. He would close his mouth and make a nasty face when you tried to feed him. So, I stopped for a while and tried again tonight and it was the same thing. If anyone has any tips for me, please let me know. Otherwise, I am going to have the only 4th grader still drinking formula from a bottle :) Oh... it is not even funny to joke about!

Giddy Up!

Aiden was so excited to get his first pony... yes, it is blue and plastic but hey, he likes it! It is a bouncer that plays cowboy music and neighs just like a horse. He doesn't really like to jump himself... he would rather you bounce it for him. We are trained very well!

Aiden is also working on balancing while he sits up. However, it is hard to work on it when he would rather stand! When we try to sit him down, he straightens his legs so he stands up... too much!

It's been a while!

Just as I was getting into the groove of posting pics of Aiden, I had surgery and was int he hospital for 4 days and got behind. I am fine now. I had my gallbladder removed which is supposed to be easy and routine but of course mine was not. I ended up back in the emergency room via ambulance early the next morning due to acute pain from internal bleeding. It was not fun. I spent 4 days in the hospital but have been home for over a week and am starting to feel stronger.

But, enough about me... Mr. Aiden is as precious as ever. Being gone from him for 4 days was torture!!! He grew up so much! I have many pictures to share. Aiden's new discovery is his LSU hat. His Nana and Grampy are HUGE LSU alumni and fans... so you can tell who bought it for him. He likes to wear the hat backwards, which makes him look so old! Another precious time at our house is bathtime. Aiden has grown very attached to "Mr. Ducky". As long as he has him, he will sit very still in the bath for a long time. I can't believe 5 months have already passed! Aiden is growing into a little man and we are loving every minute of it! He seems to be teething which I have decided is not a fun thing! He is getting better at sitting up. He loves his Bebe Pod which is a foam chair that helps him sit on his own. Life around here is pretty quiet. We attempted to change Aiden from the expensive formula back to soy... big mistake. His tummy does not tolerate any amount of soy. So, we are trying to get his tummy calmed down and back on schedule with the "liquid gold" which is what I call his formula. Here are some pictures that I took this weekend.

Hanging Out

It has taken a couple of days for Aiden to recover from the anesthesia but he is getting better and is as cute as ever! During one of his x ray tests, the radiologist noticed that he had about 4 teeth that were ready to break through the skin any time. He said that we will notice the two on bottom first then the two on top. WOW! I got so excited! Well, poor Aiden has been miserable the past couple of days and the only thing that makes him happy is baby Tylenol and his icy teether. So, that is what our life consist of right now. Here are a few pictures of our little man who will be 5 months in 6 days! If you look close at his hand, you can see the bruise from the IV. Poor baby!

Long Day

This morning at 6:30 am we loaded up Aiden and a days worth of diapers and formula and headed to Temple for Aiden's scope and swallow test. I was extremely nervous yet Aiden slept all the way there having no idea what he was in for. Once the IV was given and the anesthesia set in, Aiden did really well. I had a hard time watching my baby who is so full of life, just slowly go to sleep and lie limp in my arms. After he was asleep, they escorted us to the waiting room to wait. I hate waiting. I really hate waiting when I know that the news could be good or bad. Well, it was good. There are no malformations in Aiden's esophagus, stomach and small intestines. Everything looked normal. There is some definite signs of acid reflux but we already knew that. They took biopsies of his stomach and small intestine to make sure nothing crazy is happening there. So, we sat with Aiden in recovery for about 30 minutes waiting for him to wake up. Once he did, we gave him a bottle, I reapplied my eye makeup and we were off to the exciting Temple mall to waste some time before his next test. After lunch we headed back for his barium swallow test. I liked this test because I was able to be with him and he did not cry at all. I think he likes barium better than formula... gross! That test turned out normal as well. So we know that his swallowing technique is good and his body is formed correctly... so why are we choking, coughing and projectile vomiting? Not to mention the on going spit up? Who knows. I am waiting for a call from the doc on biopsies and I will ask him where to go from here. Anyhow, it was a long day but we are so thankful that we are canceling out some serious problems and will eventually find what works for Aiden. So, here are some pictures from our day. The first three are with his Daddy before the scope test, the fourth and fifth were taken in the recovery room as he was waking up... obviously still groggy... and the last was when we were waiting for the second test.

Randy and my dad played golf today so my Mom and I decided to run some errands. After Aiden's very short morning nap, we set out to fight the heat and crowded stores. Aiden did surprisingly well, although he started to get cranky due to his napping schedule being off. I always thought I would have to have a girl if I wanted a shopping partner but Aiden seems to enjoy shopping as much as I do... for now. We have not hit the mall yet, maybe next week. I have to get all the shopping out of him before he starts to think it is boring and wants to stay home with his Dad.

So for the past few days, Aiden has been occasionally rolling over but never without a boost. Well, I snuck in to his room to put some laundry away while he was napping. I glanced over at his crib and saw the top of his head. Then he peeked over the side of the crib and flashed that precious smile of his. I couldn't believe it! He had rolled onto his tummy and was having the best time peeking over his crib. I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Aiden and I went to Randy's office to eat lunch with him. I couldn't bare to not take a few pictures. Aiden is in a "daddy phase." Aiden watches Randy's every move and thinks he is hilarious... at least someone thinks he is funny! :)

Last night we ate out with my parents and decided to take some pictures outside the restaurant. The first few are of Aiden being an angel at the table. The next picture is of Randy, my Dad, and outside the restaurant. The last picture is of my Dad flying Aiden through the air doing "Super Baby". Now, picture the sidewalk we are on and the people that can see us inside the restaurant. They are trying to enjoy their meal and we are trying to take pictures like a bunch of tourists. Right after the "Super Baby" picture Aiden projectile vomited all over the sidewalk. I thought we were being invaded my pigeons with major bowel problems! To make it worse, the entire restaurant, you know the ones trying to enjoy their meal, saw my child puke all over the sidewalk. I could not even face the window. We were all laughing so hard and Aiden thought it was funny, too. All I could say is, "Yep, that's my Aiden."

Aiden's Nana bought him some Baby Einstein blocks to play with suring his blanket time and he only seems to be entertained with the block that has an "A" on it. I like to pretend he knows his letters and likes the A block because A is for Aiden. Just humor me... :)

Our First Cold

Poor Baby Aiden! He has his first cold. :( He started out this weekend with a stuffy nose which turned into full congestion and a cough. However, we don't know if he is coughing from his cold or his acid reflux. His Grampy and Nana bought him a humidifier and we have been using saline spray and Baby Vicks Rub for his chest. I am not sure how fast he is recovering but he doesn't seem to be getting any worse. I understand now why my Mom use to say to me, "I wish I was sick and you weren't." I use to think she was crazy for wishing to be sick. However, now I know the helplessness that you feel when your baby is sick and you want to take the pain away even if it means you get sick. Hopefully, we will be on the well train soon! Here is a picture of Aiden and the "I don't feel good" look. Sweet baby!

Aiden is making some great developmental changes. He wants to move and be on his belly more. When someone walks into the room he turns his head to look at them and follows them as they move. He is also like his Grandpa and Uncle Bubba because he never meets a stranger. He is like his Daddy in that he can batt those big blue eyes and make your heart melt in seconds. Needless to say, our work is cut out for us but he sure is worth it!

Aiden is growing up so quickly and seems to be changing daily. He is our "goofy kid" because he is constantly smiling, giggling or screeching at the top of his lungs. He is trying to roll over and has almost accomplished the task. His acid reflux is still pretty bad and we are trying to figure out the whole rice cereal situation. He is not really impressed with the spoon and cereal idea. When I put it in his mouth, he either spits it out or just lets it run out of his mouth. Needless to say, he is not really swallowing too much. We are also putting the rice in his bottle, which is a hat trick in itself. If we put too much, he skips feedings because his stomach is not digesting the thick cereal. However, of we don't put enough in, his reflux gets bad. I know... it is very confusing. Hopefully, his tests on the 19th will help us make him more comfortable. Here are some pictures of our sweet boy being goofy! Enjoy!

Aiden loves to sit outside on the porch. He watches the dogs run around and loves to watch the birds in the bird bath. Pretty soon we are going to take a blanket out and have a picnic under the tree. His mother is not a very outdoorsy person so we will see how long the "picnic" will last!

Wiggle worm

It used to be that when you put Aiden down at night, you would find him in the same position in the morning. Well, not anymore. He is a wiggle worm in his sleep. This morning I found him off his wedge completely and turned sideways in his crib. I tried to sneak a picture but my camera made a noise and scared him. The second picture is of him trying to wake up after I scared him. Too sweet!

Road Trip

Yesterday was Aiden's first road trip. We took him to Temple to see a pediatric GI doctor for his acid reflux. The doctor changed his medication, again, and is going to run some tests hopefully next week. One of the tests is a scope that goes into his tummy and looks for inflammation, allergies, hernias and so forth. They are also running a swallowing test to make sure he does not have any issues with that. I am a little apprehensive about he scope because they will sedate him with an IV and at 4 months, that is a big deal. However, I am thankful for the doctor's aggressiveness and his compassion for Aiden. He thought Aiden was precious and his heart went out to him for his discomfort. Aiden was a champ. He slept all the way to Temple, was awake to see the doctor, then slept all the way home even though it was time to eat. Please keep Aiden in your prayers as we get the tests run and see what we can do to make his life even better. Here is a picture of Randy and Aiden waiting for the doctor to arrive.

Last night was Aiden's first experience with rice cereal. The doctor wants us giving it to him in his bottle during the day and then with a spoon at night to teach him to eat from a spoon. Well, like most new things, he hated it at first but by the end of the feeding he was eating pretty well. Of course he was wearing more than he actually ate, but I guess that is to be expected.

Aiden had his 4 month appointment today. Yes, he had shots... I think I cried more than he did. He weighed 13.5 pounds which is in the 25th percentile for his age. The doctor was a little concerned but told me that because he has acid reflux so bad, his weight will be less than others.We are seeing a specialist on Thursday who should be able to tell us more about his reflux. He is 25 inches long and is head is in the 50th percentile. The doctor said that he is making all the developmental strides that he needs to and seems to be growing well. Aiden is far from being chunky, but I am so excited that he is finally getting some rolls on his tummy and legs. He was sitting in his BeBe Pod and spit up all over his outfit, as usual. So, Aiden will be four months old in 3 days so we decided to bring out the Exersaucer and give it a try. Randy worked so hard putting it together and we couldn't wait for Aiden to wake up from his nap. Well, he woke up a little early so we decided to give it a shot. HE SCREAMED at the top of his lungs once we put him in it. I guess it was sensory overload. We were deflated! However, once I gave him his bottle and let him wake up some more, we tried it again and he seemed to like it. He lasted about 10 minutes and then wanted out. I was ready for him to want to be in my lap again and not look so much like a big boy! Enjoy the pics! Some are blurry because he would not be still!

Rub a Dub Dub

Bath time is always fun at our house. Aiden is like his Nana and Aunt Sarah because he LOVES his bath! He just sits back and relaxes. However, he is getting too long for his tub but he is not quite ready for the chair that fits into the bath tub. So, Randy and I try to keep the bathtub from tipping over, Aiden from sliding down and our clothes dry. We normally come out looking like we crawled in the tub with him! Aiden loves his Daddy! He can be fussy for me all day and when his Daddy comes home, he smiles and does all his tricks! Visiting with the Horne's

Mandy and Matt Horne are family friends of ours and Randy and I are the Godparents of Kyleigh and Jakob. They came to visit us on Saturday and it was so fun to have our kids together. Kyleigh is 4 and Jakob is 1. Aiden didn't know what to think of all the excitement!! We miss seeing them and loved having them at our house!

Shh! That seems to be the word around our house when Aiden is asleep. I had a really hard time putting him in his own room and his own crib, but I did it at about 10 weeks. He has done really well. The only reason I have done so well is the video monitor that we have. I can see and hear his every move, which has taken some getting use to. Sometimes I lay in bed and watch him sleep... I know I need to let go a little. I wonder if his daycare will let me install a camera in his classroom so I can see him from my classroom? Probably not!!

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was extra special because it was Aiden's Baby Dedication. I received beautiful flowers, a bracelet I have been wanting and all the pampering in the world! It was such a blessing to dedicate Aiden and to vow before God and the church that we will bring Aiden up in the way of the Lord. He was precious, despite a few spit ups, and we were very proud. Aiden is doing well. He is sleeping all night and eats every 3 1/2 -4 hours. I could not ask for a sweeter baby and Randy and I feel blessed to have this little miracle in our lives.

I know! I know! It has been about 5 months since I last posted. Well, life has changed drastically since I last wrote. Aiden Nicklaus Harrison entered our lives on January 28, 2008 at 8:44pm. The past 3 months have been amazing!!! Although he struggles with acid reflux, he is such a joy! Here are some of the pictures from the day he was born and going home from the hospital. Enjoy!!

Christmas '07

We stayed at home this Christmas instead of going to see my family in Kirksville, Mo. Anytime we stay home it feels different but we still had a good time. Randy and I both bought each other an I Phone. Randy also bought me a David Yurman bracelet that I have been wanting for years. We had a Christmas Eve party with my Austin family and didn't get around to opening gifts until 11:30pm. We were all exhausted but excited to open gifts. On Christmas morning we opened our "Santa gift" from our sweet husbands and our stockings from "Santa and Mrs. Claus" aka, my parents. All in all it was great to spend time with family and reflect on our Savior's birth.

The Nutcracker

I have the sweetest husband in the world. He knows how much I love the Nutcracker Ballet and for the first time in the 9 years I have known him, he took me. It was so much fun to dress up and go downtown and experience the magic of Christmas. Well, Randy dressed up...I wore what actually fit at that point in time. Randy was a good sport, however he tried to convince me that the intermission was the end of the ballet. He didn't outsmart me, though. My parents went with us and we had a great time... at least my Mom and I had a great time.

I am now 35 weeks and ready for Aiden to be here! We will find out on January 8th, which day my doctor wants to induce. Hopefully, it will be the week of January 27th.

Yes, I really can't believe it myself. On May 23rd, 2007 Randy and I found out we were going to be parents! After nearly 2 years of prayers and tears, the Lord blessed us with the news of a future little one entering our lives. On September 4th, we found out that we were having a boy, Aiden Nicklaus Harrison. He is growing very well and is due to arrive at the end of January. I will never forget the look on Randy's face when the sonographer told us it was a boy. I thought Randy was going to pass out. That weekend we found ourselves at Babies R Us registering and planning for our "Little Man". We have had two wonderful showers and have been blessed by all of our family and friend's love and support. I will eventually post some pics from our showers and hopefully one of Aiden's sonograms. Until then...
